An Australian campaign challenging societal views that men should always put on a brave front launches today, with a transformed version of The Cure’s iconic song ‘Boys Don’t Cry’, created by Australian agency The Hallway.

At the core of the campaign is a film, brought to life by Good Oil’s Tom Campbell, featuring a choir of 30 men from all walks of life and backgrounds, and from diverse communities. Included in the key cast is stand out recording artist and MC, Dallas Woods, a Noongar man from the East Kimberley, and actor Eddie Baroo (The Dry, Mr Inbetween, Mystery Road).

Laundryheap: No Laundrette

Imperial Leisure, has produced a 40-second film that promotes Laundryheap’s 24-hour laundry service, inspired by an iconic piece of advertising history.

The film, named ‘No Laundrette’, takes inspiration from an iconic jeans ad, shot in a laundrette in 1985. Laundryheap’s reimagined version brings the concept into the 21st century; replacing the traditional laundrette with on-demand, to-the-door laundry and dry cleaning services. The campaign was produced and directed in-house by Imperial Leisure.

Prisoners: the first TV film by L’Enfant Bleu, signed and produced courtesy of Havas Sports & Entertainment, is conceived as a mini-thriller. With no dialogue, it focuses on the neighbor of a child abuse victim who has no idea of the drama that the latter lives through every day.

Despite having some suspicions, he hesitates to raise the alarm and ends up convincing himself that everything is fine. This is far from a fictional situation. Too often, a child could have been saved without the hesitation of a neighbor. These children are thus prisoners of their aggressor within the family sphere.
