More awareness was to be generated for Penguin Audiobooks and the fact that each title in the catalog is an immersive experience, thanks to superior curation of the titles and the production values. To visually depict the “immersion”, we used a visual device that tracks the progress of any listening experience – audio progress bars. Except our audio bars are formed by the main characters of their respective titles – Sherlock Holmes, Peter Pan, and Mowgli – personally leading us through their respective stories. Deployed at points of sale, the campaign raised awareness about Penguin Audiobooks India.

The Coalition for Gun Control has launched a new project to show how gun violence touches every corner of Toronto, the fourth largest city in North America. And one that has seen a major rise in gun violence over the past year.

The project, titled Dodge the Bullet, uses geo-location technology to show how many meters away residents of the city of Toronto were from an actual shooting. The project taps into the Toronto Police Services’ API of shootings and homicide data to create an interactive map that shows every user how close they are, or have been, to a shooting. The campaign’s goal is to turn that data into a digital experience that creates a personal connection between every Torontonian and the rise in gun violence in their city.

By visiting dodgethebullet.ca, the experience explains to users that even though they “Dodged a Bullet,” they shouldn’t “Dodge the Issue” of gun control in Canada. From there, the web app directs them to sign the Coalition’s most recent petition on the House of Commons website.

Bucharest, the capital of Romania, is one of the most polluted capitals in Europe and the most congested city on the continent, according to the TomTom Traffic Index. With daily levels far exceeding the recommended limit, residents face serious health issues.

The electric Renault ZOE can help bring down air pollution. But, with Romanians seeing electric vehicles as too expensive, a lateral approach had to be found. So, pollution was turned against itself.

When air pollution went up, the price went down. To make the idea happen, Renault connected one of the largest digital displays in Europe with pollution sensors placed in high traffic areas around the city. An average was calculated and converted into discounts using a custom-made algorithm. On the billboard, the price of the Renault ZOE changed every six minutes. Anyone could claim the discounted price on the spot, using their smartphones.

To give visibility to the problem of missing children in Brazil, Livraria Cultura created Missing Characters, a social campaign in partnership with Mães da Sé NGO where famous protagonists of children’s books also disappeared from their covers. The new books were displayed on the shelves for 30 days as if they were normal products of the bookstore. But when costumers opened the books, were impacted by photos of missing children and the campaign message. The campaign also featured Instagram Stories, videos on Youtube, a special edition box sent to influencers and a hotsite.

CASA is the national nonprofit organization that provides children in the foster care system with a personal advocate – an adult who helps ensure that they are safe, have a stable home, and have the opportunity to thrive. Personal advocacy is proven to help break the cycle of homelessness, unemployment and residual crime often affiliated with children in the foster system.

Much of the campaign’s creative imagery depicts a foster child’s “suitcase” – a black plastic garbage bag that serves as the vessel for transporting their possessions on a moment’s notice when they are moved to a new facility or foster home.
