Usually, knife and fork are necessary eating utensils – but not exactly safe, fun or kid-friendly. The ad celebrates the fact that for a Happy Meal, kids can ditch these, because they already have everything they need: their fingers. No wonder it’s the most popular children’s meal on the planet…

Alis: Less Hate – More Skate

Print
Alis

Skate parks and skate brands attract skaters, but also people who have bad attitudes. People who often cause trouble and get into fights. That’s why we created a campaign for the Copenhagen based skate brand ALIS encouraging people to enjoy skating and to spread good vibes in the parks and within the skate community. And to aspire wearers of ALIS not to be part of hateful culture.

La Parole Aux Sourds_ Unsilenced France

Film
La Parole Aux Sourds

The campaign called “Unsilenced” and was created La Parole aux Sourds with the help of ad agency BETC. It’s the first original song sung entirely through sign language and dance, and features a unique collaboration between electronic duo Haute (who composed the instrumentals) and deaf dancer Billy Read (who wrote the lyrics and performed them in the film through dance). What’s unique about the song is that people won’t realize Billy is singing about how it feels to be isolated in your own country. They’ll think he’s just dancing to the music video until we reveal at the end that he was singing all along.

Getty Images: Watermarks for Water

Film
Getty Images

Watermarks for Water, which launched on the same day as World Water Day (3/22), aims to help raise awareness and funds for the global water crisis by transforming the iconic Getty Images watermark. The Watermarks for Water collection is comprised of more than 300 images, shot by some of the world’s best photographers, that highlight the plight of (the lack of) clean drinking water. Getty also launched a special microsite (www.watermarksforwater.com), and each time an image from that collection is licensed, the iconic Getty watermark is removed and 10% of proceeds go directly to charity: water, an organization that brings clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Building on the company’s mission that it can move the world through photography, Getty Images’ site now features a beautifully moving and inspirational video, created by FCB Chicago, that educates consumers on the power of an image and the water issues we face today.

SOS Children’s Villages Belgium: Really Ugly Sweater

Media
SOS Children’s Villages Belgium

There are ugly Christmas sweaters. And there’s the #reallyuglysweater. Take a closer look at it and you’ll see: the normally oh-so-peaceful crib is being bombed in the midst of a Syrian refugee camp. An ugly but very real scene for all those struggling in Syria on a daily basis. Gents created the fashion statement of the year to showcase the other side of the holidays and to ensure a truly merry Christmas for all children. One ugly sweater at a time. More than 10.000 eur was raised to support the work of SOS Children’s Villages in Syria.
