Berklee Online: Berklee Campaign

Film
Berklee Online

We were invited to work alongside Berklee’s team for the launch of their new animated series campaign. We illustrated, animated, and sound scored for Berklee’s new online videos. Inspired by the institution’s heritage, our team passionately worked non-stop to develop the first animation videos of their online series campaign. The visual aesthetics of the spots are influenced by the early visual music artists.

The illustrations are composed by complexes of abstract shapes and forms floating into the brand’s colours. The animation and the sound design translated these abstract images into meaningful storytelling moving image. The animated spots represent visually and communicate the educational purposes and the structure of the institutes degrees.

Galicia Ambiental: Trees of Ash

Film
Galicia Ambiental

“Arbores de Cinza”(Trees of ash) is a symbolic action carried out in collaboration with Tiempo BBDO, through which you can make a donation that will go to programs of reforestation of devastated areas. In return, those who collaborate will receive at home the ashes of one of the thousands of trees burned, with instructions to be used as natural fertilizer and grow with them other plants.

The funds raised will go to a special program to recover Galicia from the epicenter of the fires, Chamdebrito (Pontevedra), considered “ground zero” of the disaster and one of the places most affected by the catastrophe. The project will be developed in collaboration with forestry groups and neighborhood associations, and will consist of the replanting of native trees that will be donated to the residents of Chamdebrito so that they can begin the recovery.

That way, we can have a little bit of Galicia at home, and in Galicia they can recover what we have lost.

Donair Cam: Donair Cam – Livestream

Online
Donair Cam

We realized that beautiful scenery and landscapes can only attract so many viewers. So how could we make a webcam that everyone wanted to watch? After some digging we noticed there was a common trend with previous viral live streams—they were all pretty weird. Like a live stream of Shia Labeouf watching all of his movies, or a man live streaming his grass growing on his front lawn. It seemed the more strange and mundane a live stream sounded, the more shares it got.

In an effort to create a strange live webcam of our own, we created Donair Cam. A 24 hour live stream of donair meat. Not only was it weird and seemingly boring, Nova Scotians are crazy about donairs. The result? Loads of people watched it and shared it. Donair Cam was viewed in 159 Countries with a total watch time of 22 years and had earned over 47 million global impressions—all in the first week.

Jagermeister: Ice Cold Oppikoppi 2017

Online
Jagermeister

Oppikoppi is a beloved South African festival that takes place at what is affectionately known as ‘The Dust Bowl’ in Limpopo. The festival is all about community and great local and international music so in 2017 Jägermeister unveiled the MeisterHaus – an orange German house that stands tall amongst the fever trees, a place where festival goers can escape the heat with an Ice Cold Shot, enjoy a lime infused Jäger cocktail or just chill out and listen to the uplifting sounds Jägermeister Brass Cartel.

The convention for brands at events is a community manager on site doing basic communication and an after-movie showing the highlights of the event. There is a distinct lack of consistency in quality and narrative between the on-the-ground content and the after event content. Jägermeister wanted to change this – taking a production team to Oppikoppi to create high quality production value content on the ground. Creating content that moves at the speed of the feed and culture.

To close the gap between on-the-ground and post-event content, we released high-quality production from the event in less than half an hour of its recording. That meant that excellent content was published instantaneously, keeping the relevance current and avoiding the inevitable post-event fatigue. Throughout the festival the videos were filmed, edited and posted on the same day, making those who couldn’t be there feel directly involved through our all-access content.
