Women Post Pictures of Their Boobs to Share Support For Developments in Science

boobs_for_science_2.jpg

Oh boobs.

Thirty-year-old Lara Tait has launched Boobs for Science, a blog and Facebook page designed to call attention to developments in science. And women all over Italy are happy to contribute.

The blog carries the tagline “Where reason fails, boobs have a chance.” Women are asked to post pictures of their breasts along with signs about science which, to date, have included support for Rosetta, the European Space Agency, GMOs and others.

As to whether or not the effort might be seen in any way as sexist, Tait says, “A woman is free to do what she wants with her own body, also put it to the service of science if she wants.”

The effort was kicked off with an image and sign which read, “25 per cent of Italians deny the theory of evolution. In the US, it’s 60 per cent.” Many images include the hashtag #iostoconrosetta – meaning “I am with Rosetta.”

and while breasts are the central focus of the effort, men, too, have joined in and are posting images of their chests and butts. Yes, there is nudity.

GM's Hummer-Size Hole Is a Boon for Jeep

Dealer Joe Serra lost more than 1,000 customers a year when General Motors phased out Hummer about five years ago.

Some of them returned — but only after Mr. Serra added a Jeep franchise, one brand that seems to offer the sort of capability and cachet that meets erstwhile Hummer customers’ tastes.

“Thank God I was able to acquire Jeep and retain some of those Hummer people,” says Mr. Serra, owner of Serra Automotive Inc., which has 34 dealerships in seven states and sold 1,462 Hummers from its Grand Blanc, Mich., store in 2006. “Jeep has it going on right now. It’s like they’ve got that niche all to themselves.”

Flirtmoji promete “apimentar” troca de mensagens

flirtmoji1

social-apps-platforms

Parece quase impossível alguma rede social desafiar o Facebook a curto prazo.

Fuel-Finding Tool Wins Ford's Smartphone App Contest

Ford Motor Co. has rewarded a company for creating a smartphone app that promises to make finding fuel easier.

Team FuelSignal developed an application called FuelSignal that helps motorists locate gasoline stations, buy discounted gasoline and receive loyalty credits.

Team FuelSignal emerged as the winner from among the 10 contestants that showed off their apps at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month. The 10 companies worked with Ford for two months to develop their apps on Ford’s Sync AppLink platform.
