Prepare for a Summer of Slurpee Selfies Courtesy of 7-Eleven's Mustache Straws

7-Eleven is now offering its Slurpees with hipsterlicious mustache straws and cups shaped like Mason jars.

Be warned: they ain’t free. It’s a cool 99 cents for the stache straw, and a full $2.99 for the Mason jar (though you get your first Slurpee free).

The four stache styles include a British upper-lip, a hirsute handlebar, a Ron Swanson special, and the Hulk Hogan. The entire promotion seems perfectly geared for social sharing with Instagram and Facebook. You should expect to see more of these sort of photo-friendly promotions tailor-made for the selfie crowd.

According to ABC news, the straw sales have already surpassed expectations, and it’s only the start of Slurpee season. Get your summer sippin’ on before they’re all gone.

MakeWebVideo – Produce Your Professional Business Video in 30 Minutes

(Sponsored post)

It is a well-known fact that the attention span of users on the web is even shorter than that of real-life. On the web you only have a couple of seconds to make an impression and grab the site visitor’s attention before they move away. In such an environment – the use of a professionally produced video is most certainly a great way to promote anything – from a product to a service to a brand. And in an era predominantly characterised by self-publishing, the idea of a simple yet powerful software that can enable the less tech-savvy among us to produce their own video is an enticing proposition.

MakeWebVideo logo

This is where MakeWebVideo comes in. This web-based tool is marketed as one which enables any user to produce their own professional HD quality business video in just 30 minutes. And if that is not enough, MakeWebVideo also enables easy creation of stunning 3D effects – all at a fraction of what it would cost to have it done by a professional videographer.

Creating a Professional Video Using MakeWebVideo

True to the site’s promise, creating a video using MakeWebVideo involves 3 straighforward steps:

Step 1 – Choose Your Template: After clicking the ‘Get Started’ button, select 1 video template which you feel would be ideal for your objectives.

Step 3 – Download Your Video: Although you would need to register with the site or use Google account to log in, the video that you have created is absolutely free to use. The only drawback is that it is of a lower quality and contains a watermark. Yet you would still be able to download and share it. To obtain the HD quality video, you would need to pay for it.

Key Features of MakeWebVideo

R/GA's First Customer Relationship Exec Wants Brands to Be Loyal to Customers

Think of Matt Tepper as sort of a one-man startup inside an agency. The recently-hired managing director, VP of CRM at New York’s R/GA has the first role devoted to customer relationship management at the agency, and he intends to help define the next stage of CRM and develop a newer discipline — something Mr. Tepper calls prospect relationship marketing.

“We want to be able to take that sophistication on the customer side and apply it to the prospecting side,” said Mr. Tepper, who started with R/GA at the end of February.

“We’re reaching an inflection point in digital marketing where we can now identify and reach specific groups of consumers,” said Seth Solomons, exec VP, chief global client services officer and managing director at R/GA New York, in an email. “Matt’s arrival allows R/GA to craft a new model of CRM– the strategy and sophistication that was only possible in customer communications, now applied to prospect and customer communications in paid and owned media.” Mr. Tepper reports to Mr. Solomons.
