National Museum of American Jewish History (NMAJH) / Baseball and Becoming American Exhibition: Chasing Dreams, Jack Norworth and Albert Von Tizler

Chasing Dreams is the first large-scale exhibition to focus on the role baseball has played in the lives of immigrant and minority communities as they sought to understand and express — or challenge — American culture, behaviours, and ideals. Brownstein Group created the ‘Game Changers’ campaign in order to shed light on the singular personalities who collectively changed the game of baseball. Whether it was their record–setting batting averages and RBIs, or the great strides they made OFF the field, all of these baseball greats illustrate how baseball has served as an arena in which values, identity, ethnicity, and race have been projected, contested, and solidified.
