Although a preventable disease, yearly, about 1 million deaths are caused by malaria, and 90% of those deaths occur in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Today being #WorldMalariaDay, we wish to reiterate the importance of protecting yourself and your families from malaria by using mosquito nets, applying insect repellents on exposed skin, spraying insecticide in infected areas, and seeking prompt medical attention immediately you suspect an infection.
Without a doubt, together, we can rid the world of malaria.
