Motorcycles are one of the leading causes for traffic accidents in Panama. The transit laws state that motorcycles just like any other vehicle must drive occupying a single lane like a car, however motorcycle drivers pay no attention to the law and tend to pass between the cars creating illegal lanes and putting their lives as well as our own at risk. Fundacion Educacion Vial and their “this is not a lane” campaign aims to educate motorcycle drivers and help them understand that the space between moving cars is not a lane. Our solution was simple: we created signs that are impossible to ignore, due to the fact that they are placed where only motorcycle drivers can see them if they drive in between the cars putting their lives at risk.
