Corner Shop Signs Cannes Grand Prix-Winning Director Rouse, MPC's Mengers Joins Passion and More


James Rouse, who has just won the Grand Prix at Cannes for the Harvey Nichols “Sorry, I spent it on myself” campaign, has signed with The Corner Shop for commercial representation. Rouse also picked up a Gold Lion at Cannes for Marmite “Rescue” and three Bronze Lions for his VW Campaign. Rouse made his directorial debut in 2003 with a campaign for Trojan Condoms at the Viral Factory. He was previously represented through Outsider in the U.K. This year also saw the release of his first feature film, “Downhill.”

Passion has signed director Jake Mengers to its roster for commercial, gaming and music video representation in the U.K., Europe and the USA. Most recently creative director-advertising at MPC London, Mengers has also worked at Framestore and made his name working on VFX-heavy commercials such as Levi’s “Odyssey,” Three’s “The Pony” and Xbox “Mosquito.” He has also directed campaigns for brands such as Fox’s Biscuits, Cushelle, Burberry and Lamborghini.
