Refuge: Reverse Poem (New Year)

This campaign addresses the rise in domestic abuse at Christmas. Abusive relationships rarely start out bad. At some point, they turn. These ‘reversible’ poems dramatize that turning point. A woman reads the poem one way and presents a cosy, loving relationship. But when she reads in reverse, the words reveal a horrific undercurrent of abuse.
