YouTube's App for Kids Will Have Ads, Original Shows

On Monday YouTube will roll out a kid-friendly version of the Google-owned online video service as a mobile app for smartphones and tablets running Google’s Android operating system, a YouTube spokeswoman confirmed.
USA Today and The Wall Street Journal reported news of the app’s launch on Thursday.
The free app will feature skippable and non-skippable pre-roll ads, according to a person familiar with the matter.
