Anna Wintour on Sarah Jessica Parker: ‘She Talks Too Much!’

Well, that was fun: Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and her Met Gala co-chair Sarah Jessica Parker appeared on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” last night and offered up a little critique of some famous men and their occasionally half-hearted attempts at high fashion. But first Parker noted that Wintour “understands brevity” on the receiving line at the Metropolitan Museum (i.e., how to keep the line moving) and added that “I was reprimanded fairly early on in the process” — to which Wintour responded, “She talks too much!”
Wintour and Parker then addressed the difficulty that enforcing a white-tie dress code caused among the male attendees of the gala this year. As Meyers held up photos taken at the event, the two women offered frank assessments of Tom Brady (Wintour: “He obviously did not look at the invitation”), Jake Gyllenhaal, Hugh Jackman, Kanye West, Bradley Cooper, Benedict Cumberbatch … and Seth Meyers.
