Fall TV’s Second Fatality: CBS Sitcom ‘We Are Men’


CBS is pulling the sitcom “We Are Men” from its Monday schedule after just two episodes, making room for “Mike & Molly” to return to in November.

“We Are Men,” about newly single men living in a short-term-rental apartment complex, becomes the second fatality of the new TV season, following ABC’s removal of “Lucky 7” from the Tuesday night schedule last week. “Lucky 7” is being replaced in the lineup with repeats of “Scandal.”

Monday nights have been a struggle for CBS out of the gate. “How I Met Your Mother” remains steady, but is in its final season; “2 Broke Girls” hit a series low this week among 18-to-49-year-olds; and new comedy “Mom” continues to shed viewers in the 18-to-49 demo week-to-week. The limited-series “Hostages” is remaining put for now, despite a lackluster premiere, with just 5.1 million viewers tuning in this week.
