Time magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands tomorrow, arrives with an amusing cover illustrationlook at all those wannabes!but the story inside has a serious message: The Dems have a branding problem.

In “The Biggest Field Yet. No Frontrunner. A Divided Base. Welcome to the 2020 Democratic Primary,” Molly Ball and Philip Elliott write,

The party’s very identity is up for grabs, as a vast and historically diverse crop of candidates brings big, new ideas to a demanding, divided base. “The Democratic Party is going through a very large transformation,” says party operative Simon Rosenberg, who’s backed the winning candidate in every primary since 1988 but has no favorite this time. “The era of Clinton and Obama is ending and ceding to a new set of dynamics. A new Democratic Party is being forged in front of our eyes.”

Seth Meyers pre-explained the 'Green Book' Best Picture Oscar with his 'White Savior' movie trailer


Trying to make sense of the surprise Best Picture Oscar for “Green Book” last night? Plenty of publications are serving up analyses this morning, including Vox:

And The New York Times is promoting an essay by Wesley Morris that was actually published on Jan. 27, when the chances of a “Green Book” Best Picture Oscar looked slim.

But perhaps the most vivid take on “Green Book” comes in the form of a faux movie trailer (embedded above) from “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” which the show released last week in the run-up to the Academy Awards. “White Savior,” an announcer intones, has “all the things white people love in movies about racism”and then the trailer proceeds to dutifully tick off those clichs.

The Advertising Agencies Association of India briefed us to create a Call For Entries campaign for the prestigious Adfest’s Young Lotus competition. The theme for the contest was ‘Stop Food Wastage’. So, to pinch the conscience of the young creatives and make them come up with ideas to end the wastage of food, we visited all the leading advertising agencies and collected the food wasted from their bins. And then made posters using nothing else but the food wasted by them. We even made customised posters for agencies by using their fonts and addressing the agency creative heads directly.
