Fios is the best internet for gaming. Which is why Fios’ latest spot is launching in sync with the release of the Xbox One X. In the spot titled, “Game On,” our hero, Gaten Matarazzo, schools his friend who doesn’t understand the power of gaming on the 100% fiber-optic network. The stubborn friend, Ben, asks, “What’s so great about fiber-optics anyway?” Gaten and his other two gaming buddies shrug off Ben’s apathy. Just when Ben thinks he has the upper hand in the conversation, Gaten jokes with Ben one last time all to the amusement of his other friends online, gaming at their best: with Fios.

The DVLA has launched a new campaign to combat untaxed vehicles. The campaign reminds motorists to pay their car tax with the strapline ‘tax it or lose it’. The activity created by Y&R London targets ‘chancers’ who avoid paying their car tax.

Posted in: UncategorizedIn the wake of Sunday’s shooting at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, which left 26 dead, the media is once again debating the need for stronger gun control laws.
But for one guest on Fox News, there is no debatebecause new gun control laws, he feels, wouldn’t help. “You can’t necessarily keep guns out of the hands of people who are going to violate the law,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a Tea Party Republican, declared on Sunday during Fox News’ breaking coverage of the massacre. “If someone is willing to kill someone, they’re also going to be willing to violate a gun law.”

The ads here ran on national TV for the first time yesterday.
A few highlights: Gap mounts an elaborate song-and-dance production to ring in the Christmas shopping season (Adrianne Pasquarelli has the backstory: “Janelle Monae Fronts a Festive Musical Number for Gap’s Holiday Campaign”). Barbie, Ken, LEGO Batman, Superman and My Little Pony sit down for Thanksgiving dinner in a Target commercial. And Intel serves up another one of its ads starring Jim “Big Bang Theory” Parsons; this time Parsons is a ghost version of himself who shows LeBron James his “holiday future.”
'Something Has Gone Very Wrong' With Facebook, Google and Twitter

Not long ago social media held out the promise of a more enlightened politics, as accurate information and effortless communication helped good people drive out corruption, bigotry and lies. Yet Facebook acknowledged that before and after last year’s American election, between January 2015 and August this year, 146m users may have seen Russian misinformation on its platform. Google’s YouTube admitted to 1,108 Russian-linked videos and Twitter to 36,746 accounts. Far from bringing enlightenment, social media have been spreading poison.

Barbarian Hires Leo Leone as Executive Creative Director

“Leo is a Barbarian. His passion for creativity, story-telling and technology is what we’re all about,” Barbarian CEO Cathy Butler said in a statement. “He’s an exceptional creative visionary and I’m confident that bringing him onboard means continued momentum of more great work and even more client wins.”
“Barbarian’s work, attitude and aspiration have the same wide-eyed enthusiasm that drove me to work in digital in the first place,” Leone added. “I’m stoked to be part of the team that will define what’s next for the agency and the industry.”
Leone joins the agency from Edelman Digital, where he served as senior vice president, executive creative director for nearly two years, working on Samsung and the Hawaii Visitors Convention Bureau. Before that he spent over two years at MRY as group creative director and then executive creative director. Prior to that he spent a little over a year as a group creative director for Digitas LBi. Over the course of his career he has worked with brands including Adobe, Coca-Cola and AT&T.
