Sous la forme de natures mortes contemporaines, on découvre ainsi le café à l’état de grain, de trace laissée dans une tasse vide ou passant du noir au crème lorsqu’il est mélangé avec du lait. À découvrir.

Posted in: UncategorizedHere's The New Yorker's Powerful Charleston Cover
Posted in: UncategorizedThe cover of next week’s New Yorker is a powerful reference to the mass shooting that killed nine people on Wednesday, June 17, at a church in Charleston, South Carolina. “It’s distressing contemplating another story like this,” artist Barry Blitt said of the shootings. The issue, with a cover titled “Nine” in reference to the victims of the shooting, goes on sale Monday.
FCC Telemarketing Rule Changes Could Mean More Advertiser Vigilance
Posted in: UncategorizedAn upcoming ruling from the Federal Communications Commission could make it more difficult for advertisers to comply with telemarketing regulations.
The commission on Thursday said consumers should be allowed to use robo-call-blocking technologies, and that their phone-service providers would not face legal obstacles when enabling such blocking. The ruling, of which details are expected next week, would also make it easier for people to revoke consent for robo-calls and automated mobile text messages from companies they previously opted to receive messages from. The changes affect how the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 will be implemented.
It is unclear how the rules will play out, but there is concern that companies would be required to update their phone lists no matter how a consumer asks to be removed from it. Dissenting FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai called this into question in his statement, complete with a McDonald’s-related pun:
AKQA Has Lots of Positive Glassdoor Reviews
Posted in: UncategorizedSo AKQA has had a nice string of wins recently: just this week, the agency expanded its digital role on the Verizon account. Last month it became Volvo’s lead digital agency, and in April it named three members of its global creative team to ECD roles.
That said, something seems to be happening to the agency’s Glassdoor profile.
Just this week, several people who identify themselves as current employees shared their conspiracy theories:
Where are these “fake” reviews?
Does the agency not “appreciate its employees”? Is it not “inspiring?” Can it not be “rewarding and challenging in equal measure?” Does working at this particular shop not allow one to make “friends for life?”
We will choose not to disbelieve these sentiments, but some employees doubt the sincerity of the five-star reviews, classifying them as the ad agency equivalent of “astroturfing.”
This is not an uncommon practice in many industries! Take Edelman, the world’s largest PR firm. Not only does it have more big-name clients than its competitors…it also happens to have a whopping 1,100 reviews on Glassdoor–the vast majority of them suspiciously positive given what we’ve heard from former employees. It often appears on the “best places to work” list, and in 2014 its chief was the third-highest rated boss on the site.
Coincidence? Probably.

Posted in: UncategorizedSee Some of the Best Latin American Work Going to Cannes
Posted in: UncategorizedUnusual creative ideas flourish in Latin America. They’re often related to sports, from a beer bottle-opening tooth implant in Argentina to training soccer fans’ moms to be the security guards at a violence-prone sports stadium in Brazil. Sometimes sophisticated new technology is developed, while other campaigns invent new media as simple as bedsheets hanging on terraces.
Ad Age’s partner in Spanish-speaking Latin America, Adlatina, worked with us to gather some of the Latin American creative work that judges and festival goers will be looking at this coming week at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. (More than 40 campaigns, compiled by Adlatina in this year’s edition of “Standouts,” can be viewed here.

BMB London, Space Raiders Want You to Eat Alien Babies
Posted in: UncategorizedIn what is surely one of the most bizarre campaigns for a snack brand we’ve seen, BMB London launched the 90-second “Dark Secrets Revealed!” for KP Snacks’ crisp brand (that’s chips to us Americans) Space Raider.
The online spot, which will run for two weeks, was preceded by teasers posted on YouTube and Facebook promising leaked footage revealing “astonishing secrets,” with the spot retargeted to those who viewed the trailers. Shot in a style meant to mimic leaked government footage, it shows scientists discovering and dissecting an alien. After removing an unidentified organ, one of the scientists announces that he’s found something and pulls out a Space Raider, announcing, “Pickled…onion, if I’m not mistaken.” Viewers are then called upon to “Help us eat their babies before they take over the Earth.” BMB London and Space Raiders clearly are banking on the spot’s bizarreness and WTF factor making it shareable.
“We are very excited to have created an out of this world film for Space Raiders, an iconic snack brand, loved by many since childhood and now being rediscovered by a new audience online,” said George Johnston, marketing director of KP Snacks. “We always knew that Space Raiders would take over the earth and now we’ve found the footage to prove it!”
Creative Ways to Recycle Old Furniture

Le site Bored Panda a récemment dévoilé quelques clichés de ces jardins merveilleux, où vieilleries et nature ne font qu’un. Twitter's Adam Bain On CEO Shakeup and What It Means for Adland
Posted in: UncategorizedEarlier this month Twitter CEO Dick Costolo announced he would be stepping down from his post on July 1, and Twitter co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey would take over as interim CEO.
There are a lot of questions over what the move means for Twitter at large, but there are also questions over what it means for the company’s ad business and its advertisers. Ad Age put some of those questions — and others solicited from advertising and agency execs — to Twitter’s President of Global Revenue and Partnerships Adam Bain, who’s said to be a frontrunner for the permanent CEO role, and a bit of a fashion icon.
Mr. Bain talked about his working relationship with Mr. Dorsey, Twitter’s product pipeline — including Project Lightning — and how, in his words, “Twitter is becoming a much more media-centric consumer experience.”
U.S. Agency Takes Home Grand Prix for Pharma
Posted in: UncategorizedLast year, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity introduced a two-day Health Lions event and award show that was to evaluate work in two categories: pharma and health and wellness. Pharma disappointed, with no top prize, and the U.S., despite its disproportionate number of entries compared to other countries, had a poor showing on the shortlists of winners.
This year, there was not only a pharma winner, but it was from the U.S., indicating progress for a nation that struggles with one of the strictest regulatory environments for drug ads.
Publicis Groupe’s DigitasLBi U.S. took home the pharma Grand Prix for “Take it From a Fish,” a disease education campaign for pharma giant AstraZeneca. Sibling agency Leo Burnett Mexico won the top health and wellness prize for “Intimate Words,” a local educational effort for Procter & Gamble’s Always brand.
