Diet Racism, o refrigerante pra quem “não é racista, mas…”

Especialmente para aquelas pessoas que ficam no limiar do racismo, o College Humor inventou um produto fictício curioso: o Diet Racism.

Ao apresenta-lo, uma narração elenca os tipos de pessoa que adorariam saborear esse novo e refrescante refrigerante, elencando diversos exemplos de gente que é racista e preconceituosa mesmo quando quer parecer que não é.

O vídeo surge em meio aos protestos na cidade de Ferguson, nos EUA, depois que Michael Brown, um adolescente negro que não estava armado, foi assassinado por um policial branco. Os cidadãos que estão nas ruas querem que os EUA re-examinem suas penalidades para racismo e discriminação, e o vídeo provoca sobre todos os tipos que são veladamente racistas.

Apesar de ter sido criado para uma realidade americana, o Diet Racism ecoa perfeitamente no cotidiano brasileiro: há poucos dias, uma torcedora do Grêmio foi flagrada gritando ‘macaco’ em direção ao goleiro do Santos, conhecido como Aranha.
