Peter Stormare Helps You Play More Call of Duty

call_of_duty_peter_stormare.png

The multi-faceted Peter Stormare has been tapped by 72andSunny for this new Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Revolution video. In the ad, he takes on the persona of The Replacer, the man whose job involves making more time for men to play Black Ops 2 Revolution.

After Stormare notes there will be certain life events that may interfere with your playing time, we see him in several “replacement” scenarios, one of which gives a nod to the scene in Fargo in which he makes use of a wood chipper.

Say what you will about video games perpetuating violence, this ad is funny.

Ad Banned For Claiming Cream Will Make Your Ass Look Like Mila Kunis’

mila_kusin_rodial.jpg

An ad for Rodial body cream featuring Mila Kunis was banned by the UK’s Advertising Standards authority for claiming its cream will provide a “body to die for.” The ad, which took the form of an email, featured Mila Kunis from a recent Esquire shoot. In the ad, Kunis can be seen standing against a wall in her underwear. The headline reads, “Get a body to die for with 50% off body sculpture for 24 hours.”

Body copy read, in part, “Get Mila Kunis’ Esquire look with this intensive formula that helps reduce the appearance of cellulite fast.”

The Advertising Standards Authority, upon receiving complaints the ad was misleading and the cream couldn’t possibly give a person the figure of Mila Kunis and upon reviewing information provided by Rodial regarding the product’s ingredients, said claims were not “robust” enough to stand up to scrutiny.

In a statement, the ASA said, “Because robust evidence was not presented to demonstrate the implied efficacy claims for the product or that Mila Kunis had achieved the look featured in the photo as a result of using the product, we concluded that the ad was misleading.”

James Franco Fights Photo Bombers With Galaxy Camera

samsung_james_franco_galaxy_camera.png

As an event photographer I can attest to every one of the challenges highlighted in this new, James Franco-directed video that promotes the Samsung Galaxy camera. In the ad, Franco photographs friends at a party he’s hosting. As he does so, he runs into situations faced by a photographer and how the Galaxy camera can help overcome the obstacles.

In addition to directing and appearing in the video, Franco will use the camera to share photos and videos of his life on his Twitter and Facebook pages through January 5.

This video will be the third time Franco and Samsung have collaborated this year, previous productions include, “Fact Checkers Unit” and “The Ultimate Multi-tasker,” a video for the GALAXY Note 10.1.

william_shatner_turkey_psa_remix.png

Now this is funny. Remember last year when William Shatner did a PSA for State Farm which shared safety tips for those planning to deep-fry their turkeys? Well, Shatner’s back and this time his PSA has been auto-tuned by John Boswell and the results are quite amusing. Give it a watch.

george_takei_old_navy_cheermageddon.png

Already a sensation because he was a member of the original Star Trek crew. Already a sensation because of his prominence in social media. And now a sensation for belting out a version of Aerosmith’s Armageddon theme, I Don’t Want to Miss A Thing during last night’s American Music Awards, George Takei touts Old Navy’s Cheermageddon, a holiday sale of epic proportion.

Takei appears in two spots, created by CP+B, for the brand; a special :60 which aired once during the awards and a :30 which will air throughout the holiday season. Each spot touts the brand’s Black Friday offerings.

As George would say, Oh my!

lebron_james_samsung_galaxy_note_II.png

Courtesy of 72andSunny and Samsung, we’ve been given a snapshot, day-in-the-life of Miami Heat star LeBrom James. We are treated to LeBron having breakfast with his family, a text message interchange with Magic Johnson, a trip to the barber shop, an encounter with screaming fans and game prep all while LeBron totes the Samsung Galaxy Note II along for the ride.

The 1:30 was directed by Mark Romanek of Anonymous Content.

We previously saw the Samsung day-in-the-life thing with James Franco who shared his extremely bizarre day and his incredible multitasking abilities.

With over 1.2 million views in just one day, LeBron has certainly done some good for the brand.

Megan Fox Leaves Booty at Home in Brainy Acer Ad

megan_fox_acer_dolphins.png

Seemingly uninterested in the prospect of playing yet another hottie with a hot body – this time a character who wears her underwear in space – Megan Fox has higher aspirations; marine Biology and the invention of a technology with which to speak to dolphins.

Yes, as a follow up to the brand’s wacky outing with Kiefer Sutherland, Acer is out with another Mother London-created spectacle which focuses on Fox’s desire to become a “brilliant” scientist with, of course, help from Acer’s Aspire S7 laptop.

In the ad, Fox teams with a group of entranced scientists (one in particular) who help her develop speech recognition software that enables communication with dolphins. Over the course of 103 days of hard work and a bit of Tolstoy, the team finally finds success.

We suppose it’s an inevitable move for a woman who has always been seen and labeled as a sex object all her adult life. and a fitting on as she heads towards parenthood. Still, we wouldn’t seeing her get on an off a motorcycle wearing short shorts or leaning over a car engine in a miniskirt and crop top from time to time.

Megan Fox Looks Sharp in Sharper Image Campaign

Earlier this year, Megan Fox appeared in a sultry ad campaign for Sharper Image. Seems the folks over at the gadget brand liked working with Fox as she’s back and appearing in a new campaign. Fox, who was five months pregnant during the shoot. can be seen sitting on a Sharper Image bed, lounging in a chair and listening to music.

Of her Sharper Image work, Fox said, “I have always been a bit of a gadget geek and into different types of technology. The campaign is a good fit for me because I love electronics.” And we love you. Megan so keep doing your thing.

U.S. Cotton Urges Women to Sleep Naked

MTSleepNakedPledgeMain72.jpg

With a play on words, U.S. Cotton, with help from Marcus Thomas, is urging women to sleep naked. Well, actually facially naked as in no make up. As in it’s a campaign to urge women to remove their make up before they go to bed. Apparently, 50 percent of women don’t remove make up at night and of those who do, 80 percent do it incorrectly which is said to result in irritation, acne, eye infections and premature aging.

For U.S. Cotton’s Swisspers health and beauty line, Marcus Thomas developed a campaign which asks celebrities and popular beauty bloggers to show their faces make up free. Viewers can vote their favorite with a $10,000 prize being awarded to the winner’s charity of choice.

During a nationwide Twittter event (hashtags #sleepnaked #swisspers) the night of October 17, actress Malika Haqq, recording artist Melissa Gorga, beauty/humor blogger Jodie Rivera (aka VenetianPrincess, one of YouTube’s top beauty channels) and Hollywood makeup artist turned beauty blogger Kandee Johnson each unveiled their makeup-free photo after a teaser?week of promising their followers a revealing?photo of their upcoming participation in the unexplained “National Sleep Naked Night.” Followers can vote for their favorite, up until November 9, at facebook.com/SwisspersCotton.

Throughout the voting, a team of six promotional bloggers will post related content, ranging from regimens for cleaner and healthier skin to campaigning for their favorite Sleep Naked celebrity and her chosen charity (including the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Girls For A Change, Feed the Children and To Write Love on Her Arms). Followers will also be invited to take the Swisspers Facebook page’s Sleep Naked Pledge.

‘Football Expert’ Sean Astin Advises NFL Rookies

sean_astin_pepsi_max.jpg

Even though he doesn’t even like football or play the game (at least in real life), actor Sean Astin – who played underdog Notre Dame football player Rudy Ruettiger in the 1993 film, Rudy – is a football expert in this Pepsi Max-sponsored video.

In the video, Astin sits down with this year’s crop of rookies for some innocuous and sometimes funny banter.

Weight Watchers to Steal Jessica Simpson’s Amazing Cleavage

jessica_simpson_weight_watchers.jpeg

A few months ago when Jessica Simpson tweeted, “Just taking a walk around the block. Street legal?”, along with a picture of her pushing her new baby in a stroller, the world was treated to the enormity of her post-pregnancy boobs. Already a DD cup (according to her father, no less), Simpson ballooned to a much larger size, appearing double the size of her pre-pregnancy DDs. Of course, Simpson’s breasts weren’t the only part of her body that grew in size. Jessica is big all over now which, perhaps, is why she’s hooked up with Weight Watchers again and can be seen in a new commercial for the brand.

In the ad, which crops most of Jessica out, Simpson says, “It’s working. I’m on my way. And it feels amazing. Really I just want to be a better version of myself.” If you ask us, Simpson looks great no matter what size she is.

Chuck Norris Channels Ronald Reagan in Pro-Romney Video

chuck_norris_dire_warning.jpg

In one of the oddest “celebrity” endorsements we’ve seen in a while, Chuck Norris and his wife, Gina, talk about a “growing concern.” According to the Chuck and Gina, America is under attack and may be lost forever if we don’t change the course in which we are headed.

That course change Norris advocates is a vote for Romney. As explanation for why Obama won in 2008, Gina says 30 million evangelical Christians stayed home on voting day which is why Obama won by 10 million votes. Are we to assume that all evangelical christians are republican. Maybe most are but her statement is a leap in logic.

Later in the video, in the midst of conjuring Reagan, Gina recalls Reagan’s statement given during a speech in support of Presidential hopeful Barry Goldwater in which he said, “We’ll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth or we’ll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.”

So Obama will bring a thousand years of darkness and Romney will deliver our last best hope? Sounds like a battle of two Gods rather than two guys trying to run a country.

– Want to watch an hour of Japanese McDonald’s commercials? Go right ahead!

Michael Phelps May Incur Wrath of IOC Over Louis Vuitton Ads

michael_phelps_louis_vuitton.jpeg

While no official word has handed down by the International Olympic Committee regarding Michael Phelps’ appearance in leaked photos of a Louis Vuitton ad inside the Rule 40 window barring appearance in non-Olympic sponsor ads between July 17 and August 15, the media has its panties in a bunch over the kerfuffle.

The ads, shot by Annie Liebowitz, feature Phelps in a bathtub wearing a Speedo and swim goggles and on a couch sitting next to Russian Olympian Larissa Latynina whose medal winning record Phelps just broke.

At issue is whether or not Phelps broke Rule 40 which “limits athletes competing in the Olympic Games from appearing in advertising during and shortly before the Games.” If the IOC feels an Olympian has crossed the rule, they can be issued “…wide ranging sanctions…” Though unlikely, some have said these sanctions could include being stripped of medals.

Many, including track Olympian Sanya Richards-Ross, claim the rule forces “hard working Olympians to leave the games with no financial support while $6 billion is earned around the games.”
