State Law Banning Deceptive Practices Signals Boom to Local Advertisers


Minnesota recently passed a new law, which goes into effect Aug. 1, prohibiting the use of local telephone numbers and geographically deceptive business names across the Internet and printed directories. If you've ever Googled in hopes of finding a local service or business and ended up getting poorly disguised non-local results that have found ways to use local numbers, then you know how this law, eliminating that noise, will vastly improve local information searches for customers.
