Let’s Talk About the Weather

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) — Prone as I am to wandering outside in shorts on 35-degree days, I find myself flipping over to the Weather Channel regularly to catch the net's trusty local forecasts or whenever nothing else on the tube catches my eye. That sounds like an insult — the Weather Channel as a fallback option — but it isn't intended as one. Rather, the network ranks as one of the only reliable entities on the cable dial, one of the few that — younger viewers and buzzily buzzy internet buzz be damned — has remained true to its core mission.
