There’s no self-promoting VO this time around on why he’s the greatest, most invincible person in the world, just a one-on-one narrative that’s slightly randy. But yeah, we’re still envious. Topps, Rooster Wax Nostalgic with Web Series for Garbage Pail Kids MiniKins

Rooster New York, fresh off of teaching you how to take a punch (and all their skateboard projects), have unleashed a suitably goofy trailer for their new web series promoting Topps’ Garbage Pail Kids MiniKins.

For those too young to remember, Garbage Pail Kids was a popular trading card series released in 1985, parodying the then even-more-popular Cabbage Patch Kids dolls phenomenon. Topps brought the Garbage Pail Kids back in 2012 with an all-new series. Now they’re expanding the Garbage Pail Kids into 1” MiniKins figures.

Rooster’s trailer is in the fake-outtake style, with Garbage Pail Kid Adam Bomb struggling to get through his lines, among other things. If you grew up with Garbage Pail Kids, it will probably be a welcome blast of nostalgia. If not, it should still ooze a kind of fun 80s cheese that’s hard not to appreciate. Everyone is still obsessed with the 80s, right? Isn’t that why we’re here talking about Garbage Pail Kids?

Jeah, Ryan Lochte Muscles Up for Nissan

Ryan Lochte may wear that clueless grin in the new Nissan spot created by TBWA, but he’s still laughing to the bank on the heels of his impressive, yet imperfect 2012 Olympics. Ryan Lochte’s “Office Burn” shows car customers (remember, this is for Nissan) how to stay fit at the office: conference call calisthenics, coffee curls, and synergy sit-ups are just a few of the drills Lochte powers through in a buttoned sport coat. Nissan’s Innovation for Endurance might make sense, say, if we actually saw more cars in the commercial. But–like most Ryan Lochte moments–things don’t always make sense.

For those interested in a funnier example of Lochte’s senselessness, watch this Funny or Die video. There’s no product placement, and you get to hear an Olympic gold medalist say, “The pool is the biggest and most expensive toilet. And it’s all mine.”
