Committee LA, Heidi Klum Pitch Business Ventures for Wix.com

Creative/production hybrid studio Committee LA released a continuation of its “ItsThatEasy” Super Bowl campaign with a 60-second spot starring Heidi Klum.

Actor Rex Lee returns as Klum’s agent, shooting down her half-baked ideas for business ventures. A disgruntled Klum admits he’s always right, but then comes up with something she knows he’ll approve of. With Wix, she gets the business off the ground with a website before proudly showing it to Lee. The pacing works better here than with the Super Bowl effort, which had to juggle the stories/businesses of multiple football greats in about the same time frame. While the humor may cross the line to the overly goofy at times, it does make a dry subject a bit more memorable and the setup is a good way to display Wix’s capabilities. The cross-channel marketing campaign also includes social media activations and exclusive content for YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter promoting the #ItsThatEasy hashtag.

Comercial de hambúrguer transforma Heidi Klum em Mrs. Robinson

E já que o cinema é sempre uma rica fonte de inspiração para o mercado publicitário, vale o registro de Mrs. Robinson, filme que a 72andSunny criou para divulgar um hambúrguer com molho de bourbon da rede Carl’s Jr.

Inspirado em The Graduate – que aqui no Brasil foi lançado como A Primeira Noite de Um Homem -, o filme recria a cena clássica em que uma charmosa Anne Bancroft tenta seduzir um assustado Dustin Hoffman, levando à famosa frase “Sra. Robinson, você está tentando me seduzir?”.

Aqui, Anne Bancroft é substituída por Heidi Klum, que talvez nunca tenha comido um hambúrguer na vida. E provavelmente deve ter continuado assim, visto o efeito sonoro da mordida e a boca claramente vazia durante a “mastigação”. E enquanto o narrador diz que o novo hambúrguer vai “fazer de você um homem”, uma legenda quase imperceptível diz que “não há garantias de que isso vá fazer de você um homem”.

Shocker: Carl’s Jr., Hardee’s Seduce You with Bourbon, Burgers, and a Babe

Both fast-food eateries are running “Mrs. Robinson,” a 30-second homage to The Graduate with Heidi Klum doing her best Anne Bancroft. The spot, created once again by 72andSunny (last work for the CKE chain here), promotes the Jim Beam Bourbon Burger. Odds are that Klum doesn’t regularly eat the fine cuisine she endorses, but we won’t hold it against you if you replay the part where she sucks up barbecue sauce from her finger.

Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s have actually turned down the overt sexuality in their ads–remember last year’s Kate Upton commercial? I’ve eaten their burgers once or twice in my life, and I can assure you, they are not aphrodisiacs unless you’re a local gastroenterologist who needs more business. Credits after the jump.
