Samsung no Facebook: Quando um canguru de monociclo venceu o departamento de marketing

Quando uma marca desce do salto nas mídias sociais, e trata as pessoas além de consumidores em potencial, sempre nos surpreendemos. Gestos simples de simpatia e adequação de linguagem, capazes de fazer a marca ser falada e lembrada muito mais do que o mero e aborrecido tom promocional.

Por exemplo: Quantas vezes já citamos a atuação do Ponto Frio no Twitter, tanto em posts como no Braincast? Perdi a conta. Lembra também do sucesso que fez o duelo de rimas do Bradesco no Facebook? Nós gostamos de respostas no mesmo nível: o humano.

Esse caso da Samsung na Austrália – bastante compartilhado nos últimos dias – é mais um para ilustrar como as empresas podem transformar sua presença online em conversação de fato. Com tom pessoal, algo tão raro e difícil para as grandes corporações na internet, que imaginam esse tipo de relacionamento como um pesadelo.

Na semana passada, Shane Bennett – que já é dono de um smartphone, laptop e TV LCD da Samsung – deixou uma mensagem na página da empresa no Facebook pedindo por um “upgrade grátis” para o novo Galaxy S III.

Para aumentar suas chances de ter o pedido atendido, Bennett adicionou um desenho de um dragão verde, ou algo parecido com isso.

“I have attached a picture of a dragon I just drew for you.”

Drew Bomhof é o gerente de comunidades online da Samsung Canada. O único que coordena os perfis sociais localizados da marca naquele país, incluindo Facebook Twitter e Google+.

Bomhof respondeu a mensagem no dia seguinte. Poderia ser um texto padrão qualquer, mas a resposta explica que, se a Samsung desse um smartphone de graça pra todo mundo que pede, a companhia iria à falência.

Se fosse só isso, também não seria uma resposta que iria além daquele canal. Porém, além de elogiar o desenho enviado por Shane Bennett, a Samsung enviou outro em agradecimento: um canguru andando de monociclo.

Bennett gostou tanto da atitude que divulgou a conversa no Reddit, colocando seu tópico entre os mais comentados do site. Obviamente – assim como aconteceu com o case de Bradesco no Brasil – muitos duvidaram da veracidade das mensagens, alegando que tudo poderia não passar de uma ação de marketing. Mas Bennett confirma que não tem relação nenhuma com a empresa.

Bomhof, que trabalha há apenas três meses na agência Cheil cuidando de Samsung, revelou que todo conteúdo controverso em mídias sociais passa pelo processo de análise do alto escalão de marketing da empresa. Porém, no dia a dia ele tem liberdade para responder aos consumidores da maneira que julgar melhor.

Já Shane Bennett pode não ter conseguido um smartphone de graça, mas foi convidado para a festa de lançamento do Galaxy S III em Toronto, em junho.
