BATAVIA, Ohio (AdAge.com) — Procter & Gamble Co. is making a subtle but potentially important change in how it compensates top managers, one that will reward them for increasing market share even if industry sales slow and the company resorts to price cuts. The move has some speculating that P&G is girding for a period of slower growth, lower prices and bruising promotional battles over the next three years.

Tenho comentado muito sobre marcas que utilizam as redes sociais para hospedar aplicativos baseados em serviços e entretenimento, como forma de expandir, e até melhorar, a sua relação com os consumidores em um universo mais interativo. E o investimento em “social games”, como mencionamos em posts anteriores, se tornou um caminho interessante não só para grandes marcas do Ocidente. Vejam este exemplo do MyMajlis.

Durante este Ramadã, mês sagrado dos muçulmanos, a TBWA\RAAD criou uma game no Facebook para um importante banco de Dubai, o Standard Chartered, onde os usuários podem criar uma tenda e convidar seus amigos para visitar. As tendas com mais visitantes ganham prêmios semanais, além de progredir em 3 levels, aumentando a tenda e as opções de móveis disponíveis, que podem ser comprados usando os cartões de crédito do banco (maior o level, melhor o cartão e maior o limite de compras). Fora isso,   os usuarios que clicam em “like” ganham créditos extra para decorar a tenda.

O mês do Ramadã é uma época muito especial nos países muçulmanos, e você vê tendas espalhadas pelas cidades onde as pessoas recebem seus amigos no final do dia para quebrar o jejum.

Segundo a TBWA\RAAD, a ideia foi simplesmente recriar essas tendas de forma virtual, decoradas pelos usuários para receber seus amigos no Facebook durante o dia, enquanto estão de jejum em casa. Ou seja, convergir serviços para o ambiente digital não é, ou nunca foi, uma questão cultural.
